Section Description: Keyboarding Skills 101/Microsoft Office 2007

School Mission Statement: The mission of Seven Hills Charter Public School is to prepare a diverse cross-section of Worcester children for success as students, workers, and citizens by providing them with a high-quality education at prevailing public school costs.

Attendance Policy:  Students are expected to arrive to class on time

 Attendance is taken daily and notification of being tardy or absent

 can be found on the Parent/Student account in Power School

Classroom Behavior Policy: My discipline system is based on the philosophy that

students take responsibility and accountability for their actions. I utilize and support the schools’ discipline policy found in your student handbook.

 Classroom Rules:

1. Be on time

2. Be prepared and ready to learn

3. Do your assignments and homework

4. Study and practice for quizzes and assessments

5. Respect your own and others workspace

We have a lot to cover in a short amount for time so arrive energized to learn!

Homework/Assignment Policy:

Students are expected to complete all homework and class work assignment on time. The number of points on overdue assignments decreases each day they are late. Missing assignments more than six school days will not be accepted. I will keep Power School up to date to facilitate this.

Lessons:

We will be taking initial and midway assessments on your WPM (words per minute) abilities and then a final assessment to see how much you have improved.

We will be covering Microsoft 2007 Word, PowerPoint, and Excel basics, and have assignments for each that will be due.
