I am Mrs. Elynne A. Ey.
I was born in Springfield, MA, but raised in Chicopee, MA...really loud with C5's flying over head from the base.
I attended North Adams State College in North Adams, MA.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in 1997.
I earned a Master's degree in Education in 1999. The college officially changed names to
Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts the previous year.
I moved south to Charlotte, NC for 5 years. I worked teaching 5th grade for one year, then I taught 8th grade science for 4 years.
My husband and I decided that we wanted to start our family, but 800 miles was a bit far from family to have family. Family is a very important aspect in our lives. We found ourselves in Central Mass.
I taught 9th grade physical science in Webster, MA for 3 years. I decided it was time for a change and to get back to my original roots of schooling. I wanted to get back to the elementary level.
That is how I landed myself at our fabulous Seven Hills Charter Public School. Last year was my first year there. I feel as though I have found a home for my career.
Other tidbits...
I have one daughter. She is two and amazing. I will deliver our second daughter by September 2nd. I am an animal lover. I take "going green" pretty seriously. I believe if everyone does their part, then we can truly preserve and save our awesome planet. There are other tidbits that will be added at a later date in time. |
