Mrs. Ey

2008-2009 will be an exciting year for fifth grade. 

We will start using the Scott Foresman/Pearson reading program.  We will continue using Singapore math along with Stand Out Math.  We will look at viking, ancient civiliations, and the foundations of America.  Science will look at observation skills, weather, erosion, soils, space, and much more.  Writing will adventure in many areas of fiction, nonfiction, creative, free write, and some fun writing projects.

Expectations are high in room 413. All students are expected to follow all school-wide and classroom rules. 

Mrs. Ey is expecting to deliver a baby on Tuesday, September 2, 2008.  There will be a maternity substitute for much of the fall.  The substitute will be in good contact with Mrs. Ey.  All lesson plans, assignments, projects, and all other work has been designed or approved by Mrs.  Ey.  All work assigned to students is expected to be completed in the given time frames and with full effort.  Any assignment that seems to be lacking full effort will be returned for proper completion and earn late credit. 

POWER SCHOOL:  Please be sure to regularly log onto our website (http://sevenhillscharter.net) to use powerschool to check on academic progress.  If you do not have a computer at home, then please try to get to a library because they offer free Internet access to the public.  It is vital that you stay informed about academic progress to ensure the success of our student.  If you feel at any time you would like to discuss academic progress, then please call me at the school (508) 799-7500 or email me at eey@sevenhillscharter.net.
