Our Mission

Provide a path to success for Worcester children through education by:

  • Providing a safe and functional space to learn
  • Forging partnerships in the Worcester community
  • Soliciting donations and providing resources to support scholarships and enrichment programs
  • Funding capital improvements

What We Support

Scholarships

The LFF provides scholarships for LFCPS students upon 8th grade graduation (for both HS & College) and for staff who are taking college courses to become certified teachers.

The Children

Students are at the heart of our work! Learning First Foundation works to create meaningful partnerships within the community to provide a wide variety of non-traditional educational opportunities for students. If you would like host a field trip to your business, donate materials/products for lessons, or offer a creative learning experience, please reach out!

The School

LFF holds the school building and funds capital improvements as needed. Additionally, we fundraise on behalf of Learning First Charter Public School to provide educational scholarships to graduating 8th graders.

Currently, we are preparing to renovate what will be our new school building at 50 Richland Street (the former home of Saint Mary’s School in Worcester ), which we will be moving into in September 2022.

How We Make A Change

“In 6th grade while everyone was away at the Sargent Center, classes were quiet and empty so there was already that constant reminder that everyone else was gone and you couldn’t go. Yet, it was worse to see everyone talking about it when they got back. They were talking about the zip lines, good food, the hikes and activities. While I kept a smile, it made me feel left out.

School trips like these are extremely important and can really make a student’s year, but kids like me who can’t afford it will be left out. It is so important to find more funding so that kids like me will be included!”
